Testimonials.
Don’t just take our word for it – hear from the homeowners we’ve worked with across the Canberra region about their experience building and renovating with us.
Martin & Jo, Hawdon Street Renovation.
“LAL have completed 2 renovations for us, an ensuite in 2020 and the rest of the house in 2023. Both jobs were completed on schedule and on budget, and we are delighted with the way the house looks! LAL’s professionalism made the whole experience a lot less stressful.
The whole process was exceptionally well managed and communication with us was great from the start. They suggested some nice features that we hadn’t originally considered in the design, kept us in the loop on progress, and contacted us over issues as they arose, with solutions suggested. We wouldn’t hesitate to use LAL in the future and gladly recommend them to anyone considering a renovation or rebuild.”
Dom, Watson Renovation.
“You have to have confidence in your builder. We have used Chris and Lucas several times now and have had confidence in them from the very start.
Their knowledge, skills and attention to detail cannot be faulted. Their communication is professional and reassuring. If there is an issue they highlight it and provide a solution. Always thinking!! Even after the work is done we remain friends. We’ve recommended them to several friends who have been equally impressed. They are builders you can have confidence in. Highly recommended!!”
Michael & Sue, Canberra Inner-North Extension & Renovation.
“We engaged LAL to undertake a significant extension and renovation to our duplex in the inner-north. We found Chris and his team a pleasure to work with during the entire process. We opted for a ‘cost/plus’ contract which gave us the freedom to make minor alterations to the design as the build progressed.
Chris’ communication with us was excellent and we were always aware of what was happening next, how much it would cost, and anything he required of us. As a result there were no nasty surprises and we ended up with exactly the house we wanted. They did such a good job on the main house that we engaged them to do all of the hard landscaping for us as well. We love our house now and cannot recommend LAL highly enough to anyone thinking of undertaking a construction project.”
Studio Mae, Commercial Fit-Out.
“In late 2020, I engaged LAL Construction when the industry was experiencing never before seen supply chain pressures. Working alongside interior design company Studio & You, Chris and the team made me feel comfortable from the get go with how the process comes to life.
With cost saving recommendations and a casual yet professional approach, the fit out was complete within 4 short weeks. I am so thankful for everything Chris and his team have done with Studio Mae. 2.5 years on, I still have onlookers walk past regularly and compliment the Studio. I have, and will continue to recommend LAL Construction to anyone needing an honest and quality builder within the Canberra region.”
Christine & James, Mawson Extension & Renovation.
“Working with Chris and Lucas of LAL Construction was an exceptionally positive experience. We found them to be extremely professional, knowledgeable and responsive. The quality of the work and end product was of the highest standard. We would thoroughly recommend them to anyone.”
Cate, Home Renovation.
“LAL (and especially Lucas) have been so wonderful this year. They re-did my 1970s bathroom / laundry and it is perfect.
The craftsmanship is impeccable and the process was very smooth and stress-free. LAL managed the whole process on my behalf which was great, I loved that they communicated clearly with me and that the paperwork was always detailed but easy to follow so I knew exactly where my money was going.
I really liked working with Lucas as he was reliable and respectful in how he works but also very efficient. He's obviously very experienced as any time I had a question, he had some suggestions that were helpful and very well reasoned. He let me ask all the questions I needed to and always explained his answer clearly. His work is of exceptionally high standard, and it is so clear he takes immense pride in his work. Somehow he always managed to produce work that was high quality with incredible attention to detail but also on-time and efficient. I love my new bathroom and laundry and feel like I got excellent value for money. Choosing LAL and Lucas for other projects in the future will be an easy choice!”
